Whether the thought of Valentine’s Day fills you with loving feelings or moments of dread, don’t panic, just remember that making Valentine’s special for those you love isn’t about making reservations. It’s about the effort, and starting things off on the right note. For example, Don’t just open a bottle of wine. Set the scene with music you both love,  prepare an indoor picnic for two, or any of the one thousand an one things you could research on line for ideas on a romantic night- the key is to try something new.

Below are a few surprises to incorporate in your night:

This is your chance to be creative and memorable. Clear Liquid drinks, like many martinis, offer the aspiring artist, bartender and romantic the chance to shine.

If the drink calls for fruit slices, try carving the fruit into a heart shape or garnish the glass with whole or sliced strawberries dipped in chocolate, Use red glass stir sticks or drop heart shaped “cinnamon hearts” into the drink.

Need an excuse to get really close? Maybe some fun Body Shots are in order!

Required materials are:
• Tequila or Vodka
• Salt or sugar
• A lime or lemon,
• Shot glass
• two people who are on “good” terms with each other

Steps:
The first person licks the neck of the other and shakes some salt on them. Then the person with the salty neck either holds a shot in their hands or anywhere else, and puts the fruit in their mouth. The second person licks the salt, takes the shot, and then goes for the fruit. Feel free to use any body part.
